Several weeks ago, I was a guest on a local radio show, "It's Only Money," talking with hosts Shane Ammons and Kevin Downs about HB1133, known as the State Tuition Tax Credit bill. The bill essentially allows Georgia taxpayers to direct tax dollars to a private school of their choice. The bill gives taxpayers, and ultimately families, a choice in funding for private education. Given Dominion's "covenantal" core value, the idea of families taking responsibility for education--and education funding--is important to us.Last year, Dominion was able to offer financial assistance to over a dozen families. Thanks to leaders like Representative David Casas, more parents may choose to enroll their children in a school they choose.
